The Glass Harmonica was directed by Andrei Khrjanovsky in 1968. There is some debate about this piece as some consider it anti-Semitic; in fact, it was not released until after perestroika, or the restructuring of the Soviet political and economic system in 1987. The music was composed by Alfred Schnittke, a famous Russian composer.
